This book has toured schools extensively in South Wales and been accompanied by a talk about dementia to raise children’s awareness of the topic. The feedback from this school tour has been overwhelmingly positive.

One mother approached Mike at another storytelling event weeks after he’d visited her son’s school. She said the book and talk had inspired her son. His aunt had been diagnosed with dementia but he couldn’t understand what was happening to her.

When he came home with the book he told his mum; ‘I get it now’. He continued to read the book over and over and there was a new found sense of care and sensitivity to his behaviour towards his aunt.
